Who Rhobra Covers Suit
Rhobra’s range covers short beds for Toyota trucks. The lineup starts with a 5-foot vinyl roll-up for the Tacoma. It ends with a 5.5-foot soft roll-up for the Tundra. Both models are black and weigh around 23 pounds. They share a clamp-on design and waterproof vinyl construction. This spread suits drivers who want simple access without hard-shell bulk. You will not find hard folding or retractable options here. Neither model offers remote operation or app control. If you need a fixed hard cover or a different bed size, this brand’s current selection does not fit your needs.
How to Choose the Right Rhobra Cover
-
Match Your Truck Model
You must verify the compatible truck before buying. Rhobra makes specific covers for Toyota Tacoma and Tundra trucks. The first model fits 2016 to 2023 Tacomas. It excludes the Trail edition. The second model fits the Tundra. You need to check your exact truck year and edition. A wrong fit will not install correctly. Always confirm your vehicle details match the product listing. This step prevents returns and ensures proper coverage.
-
Confirm Bed Length
Bed size is critical for a proper fit. Rhobra offers covers for 5-foot and 5.5-foot beds. The Tacoma cover is designed for the 5-foot bed. The Tundra cover fits the 5.5-foot bed. You must measure your truck bed accurately. Using the wrong size cover will leave gaps or overlap incorrectly. Check your truck specifications online or in the manual. Matching the bed length to the product spec is essential for security and weather protection.
-
Select Soft Roll-Up Style
Rhobra uses a soft roll-up design for both models. This style allows you to roll the cover back for easy bed access. You can load tall items without removing the cover. This is practical for daily drivers who need flexibility. Hard covers offer more security but less convenience. If you prioritize quick access to your cargo, the soft roll-up is ideal. Consider how often you load and unload items. This style suits those who value convenience over rigid protection.
-
Check Vinyl Material Quality
Both covers use vinyl material for durability and weather resistance. Vinyl is flexible and easy to roll up. It provides waterproof protection for your cargo. You should check the vinyl thickness if specified. Thicker vinyl generally offers better resistance to tears and UV damage. Rhobra uses black vinyl for a low-profile look. This material choice balances cost and performance. Ensure the vinyl meets your needs for weather protection and longevity.
-
Verify Weight and Portability
Soft covers are lighter than hard alternatives. The Tundra model weighs approximately 23.4 pounds. This weight makes it easy to handle and install. You can remove the cover quickly if needed. Lighter covers reduce strain on your truck bed rails. Check the weight spec to ensure it fits your handling preference. Heavier covers may offer more rigidity but are harder to manage. For most users, a weight under 25 pounds is manageable for regular use.
