Toptiny HTF012 vs HTF034 Comparison
Compatible Truck
The Toptiny HTF012 is designed specifically for the 2009 to 2026 Dodge Ram 1500. This model fits the 6.4-foot bed that does not have Ram Box. The Toptiny HTF034 is built for the 2022 to 2026 Toyota Tundra. It fits the 5.6-foot bed with the OE Rail System. You must choose the correct cover for your specific truck make and model year. These covers are not interchangeable between different brands. Check your truck’s bed dimensions and year before purchasing either option to ensure a proper fit.
Bed Size
Bed length is the primary physical difference between these two covers. The HTF012 covers a 6.4-foot bed, which measures 76.3 inches. This is suitable for the longer bed option on the Dodge Ram 1500. The HTF034 covers a 5.6-foot bed, which measures 66.7 inches. This fits the shorter bed on the Toyota Tundra. The width is consistent for both models at six inches. You need to measure your truck bed accurately. Selecting the wrong size will result in a cover that does not seal correctly or install properly.
Material
Both covers use the same high-quality materials for durability. The panels are made from shine-finished aluminum. This material provides a stylish look while resisting marks and scratches. The aluminum also offers protection against UV damage, which helps prevent fading over time. Both models include premium upgrades to the perimeter seals and hardware. This ensures a tight fit along the sides of the truck bed. The construction is identical in terms of the core materials used, so neither has a material advantage over the other.
Cover Style
Both the HTF012 and HTF034 feature a hard folding structure. They utilize a quad-fold design that allows the cover to fold into four sections. This style provides easy access to the truck bed when needed. You can fold back part of the cover or the entire thing. The hard panels offer more security and weather protection than soft covers. The folding mechanism is robust and designed for repeated use. Since both models share this exact style, you get the same functionality and ease of use regardless of which truck you own.
Security
Security is a key feature for both tonneau covers. The Toptiny hard folding covers are fully locked once your tailgate is closed. This integrated locking system secures the cover to the truck bed. It prevents unauthorized access to your cargo when the vehicle is parked. You do not need to use a separate lock for the cover itself. The design ensures that the cover remains stable and secure during driving. Both models offer this same level of security, so you can trust your belongings are safe in either case.
Waterproof
Neither cover is fully waterproof, but both are water-resistant. The covers are designed to keep your cargo dry from heavy rain, snow, and dust. The tear-resistant material and high-temperature resistance add to their durability. The perimeter seals are upgraded to minimize water entry. You should expect some minor water intrusion in extreme conditions, which is normal for this type of cover. Both models provide the same level of protection against harsh weather. This makes them suitable for various climates and driving conditions.
Installation
Installation is straightforward for both covers. They are designed for easy setup using included clamps. You do not need complex tools or professional help. The clamps secure the cover to the truck bed rails. The process is similar for both the HTF012 and HTF034. You can typically install the cover in a short amount of time. The instructions are clear, and the hardware is compatible with the specific truck models. This ease of installation is a benefit for DIY enthusiasts who want to save time and money.
