This size fits the standard bed on 2007-2026 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks, as well as 2007-2019 2500 and 3500 HD models. The WHALEMOTOR 6.4 ft Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover is built for a 6.4 ft bed, measuring 76.3 inches. It fits 2002-2018 Ram 1500, 2019-2026 1500 Classic, and 2003-2026 2500 and 3500 trucks. The difference in length is 2.6 inches, which matters for precise fitment.
Truck Compatibility
Product A targets GM trucks, specifically the Silverado and Sierra lines from 2007 through 2026 for the 1500 series. It also covers the HD 2500 and 3500 models up to 2019. It notes compatibility with multiflex tailgates but excludes Carbonpro beds. Product B is strictly for Dodge Ram trucks. It fits the 1500 Classic from 2019-2026, the older 1500 from 2002-2018, and the 2500 and 3500 models from 2003-2026. It explicitly excludes the 2019-2026 Ram 1500 new body style. You must match your truck brand to the correct cover.
Cover Construction
Both covers share the same fundamental construction style. They are both soft roll-up designs made from durable, weather-resistant materials. The structure is soft, allowing the cover to roll up towards the cab for bed access. Both feature an aerodynamic profile that claims to reduce wind drag. The material quality is described as high-quality in the features for both items. This means you get similar protection against the elements and similar ease of use for loading cargo, regardless of which specific length you choose.
Installation Method
Installation is identical for both products. They both utilize a user-friendly clamping system that requires no tools. This tool-free design allows for a straightforward installation process, saving you time and effort compared to covers that need drilling or complex hardware. You will receive two side rails and six mounting clamps with each cover. The installation mechanism does not change based on the bed size, making the setup process consistent whether you buy the 6.6 ft or 6.4 ft version.
Warranty Coverage
The warranty period differs between the two options. The WHALEMOTOR 6.6 ft Soft Roll-Up Silverado Cover comes with a 12-month warranty. In contrast, the WHALEMOTOR 6.4 ft Soft Roll-Up Tonneau Cover includes a 36-month warranty. This is a significant difference in long-term protection. If you prioritize extended coverage for your investment, the 6.4 ft model offers triple the warranty duration. Both covers include a weather striping and the soft roll-up cover in the package, but the guarantee period is clearly longer for the Dodge Ram compatible version.
