Bed Size Compatibility
The WHALEMOTOR cover is custom-made for the 6.6 ft bed, fitting 2007-2026 Silverado and Sierra 1500 models, as well as 2007-2019 2500 and 3500 HD trucks. It includes two side rails and six mounting clamps. The Perfit Liner option is designed specifically for the 6.9 ft bed on 2020-2026 Silverado and Sierra 2500/3500 HD Crew Cab trucks. It does not list a specific bed length in its attributes but specifies the 6.9 ft size in its key specs. You must choose the cover that matches your exact bed length to ensure a proper fit. Mismatched sizes will prevent installation.
Material Construction
Perfit Liner uses double-coated PVC waterproof material, described as a rugged, blackout fabric that forms an impenetrable barrier against rain, shine, dirt, and dust. It is tear-resistant and high-temperature resistant. WHALEMOTOR states it is made from high-quality materials offering durability and weather resistance, but it does not specify the exact fabric type or coating. Perfit Liner’s specific mention of double-coated PVC and its sealed design suggests a more detailed material specification. Both covers aim to protect your cargo from the elements, but Perfit Liner provides more detail on its protective layers.
Installation Method
Both covers offer a tool-free installation process using a clamping system. WHALEMOTOR highlights a user-friendly clamping system that saves time and effort, including a weather striping in the package. Perfit Liner also uses clamps to secure the cover without drilling, placing it on top of the bed rail. Both designs allow for straightforward setup. WHALEMOTOR explicitly lists the included hardware components, such as side rails and clamps. Perfit Liner mentions necessary hardware and accessories are included. Neither product requires drilling, making both accessible for quick installation by you.
Cover Profile and Weight
Perfit Liner provides specific profile dimensions, with a width of 9.84 inches and a height of 5.12 inches. The cover weighs 27.7 pounds and has a length of 81.9 inches. WHALEMOTOR does not list weight, width, or height specifications in its provided data. The specific dimensions of the Perfit Liner cover help you understand how much space it takes up when rolled up or installed. The lack of profile data for WHALEMOTOR makes it harder to compare the visual bulk or physical footprint of the two covers directly.
Warranty and Support
WHALEMOTOR includes a 12-month warranty with the purchase, providing a clear timeframe for coverage. It also lists what you get in the box, ensuring you know exactly what components are included. Perfit Liner mentions professional service and experts ready to help if you have problems, but it does not specify a warranty duration in the provided data. The explicit 12-month warranty from WHALEMOTOR offers a defined period of protection. Perfit Liner’s support is described generally without a specific time limit.
