Choosing the Right Bestwyll Cover

1. Check the bed length

You must match the cover to your exact bed size. The Bestwyll Manual Retractable Cover 6.5 ft is designed for 6.5 ft beds on Ford F-150s from 2015 to 2026. If you have a 6.6 ft bed, this model will not fit. The Tundra-Series Hard Retractable Cover is built for 6.6 ft beds on Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks from 2014 to 2026. Selecting the wrong size prevents proper installation and leaves gaps. Always verify your bed length before buying.

2. Select your cover style

Decide between retractable and other styles. All three picks here are retractable. This style rolls the cover into a canister at the front of the bed. You get full bed access when fully retracted. The Bestwyll Manual Retractable Cover 6.5 ft allows you to pull the cover back manually. It offers automatic retract capability without an electric motor. This gives you convenience without needing electrical wiring. Choose this style if you want easy access and a low profile.

3. Choose hard or soft

Consider the structure of the cover. The Tundra-Series Hard Retractable Cover features a hard shell. This provides extra security and protection for your cargo. Hard shells are generally more durable against impacts. The other Bestwyll options use aluminum slats. These are lighter but still offer good protection. If you prioritize maximum security, the hard shell is the better choice. If you want a lighter cover, the aluminum slat design is sufficient.

4. Verify truck compatibility

Ensure the cover fits your specific truck model. The Bestwyll Manual Retractable Cover 6.5 ft is made for Ford F-150 trucks. It supports factory BoxLink mounting for some models. The Tundra-Series is compatible with Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. You cannot swap these covers between brands. Check your truck manufacturer and model year. The 6.5 ft cover fits 2015–2026 F-150s. The 6.6 ft cover fits 2014–2026 Silverado and Sierra models. Match the brand to your vehicle.

5. Review mounting points

Look at how the cover attaches to your bed. Some Bestwyll covers support factory BoxLink mounting. This allows you to use existing mounting points on your truck. It simplifies installation and ensures a secure fit. The Bestwyll Manual Retractable F-150 6.5ft supports these factory points. This is useful if you already have BoxLink hardware. Check if your truck has these points. Using factory mounts can save time during setup and improve stability.
